Your smile is one of your most notable features. People feel embarrassed when they experience visible gaps in their smile. It also affects the ability to chew and speak.

A missing tooth can do more than make you hate your smile and be self-conscious.  Loss of jawbone can affect your facial structure. Over time, this can take a significant toll on your confidence .

Difficulty chewing and speaking?

Once a single tooth has been lost, the jawbone begins to deteriorate. As the surrounding hard and soft tissues become less supportive, your other teeth will become loose and eventually fall out.

  • Restorative procedures such as fillings, inlays and onlays are regularly done.

Fillings

  • To treat a cavity your dentist will remove the decayed portion of the  tooth and then fill the area on the tooth where the decayed material  was removed.
  • Several dental filling materials are available.
  • Most commonly used are white composite material or metal silver amalgam.

Inlays & Onlays

  • Dental inlays and onlays are a dental procedure that is used to restore a decayed or damaged tooth to its original condition.
  • In our office, it is designed using CEREC, 3-dimmensional software technology and the inlay/onlay is produced in the office, while the patient waits in the chair.

ORAL SURGERY

Many of our surgical procedures include extractions, wisdom teeth extraction, transplants of wisdom teeth, implant surgery, as well as gum graft and bone graft.

WISDOM TEETH EXTRACTION

  • Wisdom tooth extraction is a surgical procedure to remove one or  more wisdom teeth — the four permanent adult teeth located at the back  corners of your mouth on the top and bottom.
  • If a wisdom tooth  does not have room to grow it is an impacted wisdom tooth, which can cause pain,  infection, crowding or other dental problems. Extraction is generally recommended.

ENDODONTICS

Root Canals

  • A root canal is a dental procedure involving the  removal of the soft center of the tooth, the pulp. The pulp is made up of nerves, connective tissue, and blood vessels that help the tooth  grow.  The empty canal cavities are filled with a protective substance.
  • Dental Crowns are recommended for such teeth that are non-vital to protect the tooth and make it stronger in a sense.

ORTHODONTICS

Braces

  • The most common type of orthodontic treatment used by dentists is braces to correct irregularities in the teeth (especially of alignment and occlusion).  Orthodontics are available to selected cases.
  • Brackets are attached to each tooth. Arch wires are fitted  into all the brackets and are usually held in place with rubber or wire ties.
  • Typical treatment can vary between 6 months to 24 months.
